The band at sunset

The Story

"We grew up between two radios — one playing Hank, the other playing Marley. This band is the song that came out of both."

Redneck Reggae started on a fishing pier somewhere south of nowhere. A slide guitar, a beat-up bass, a Nyabinghi drum, and a six-pack between four friends who couldn't agree on what to play — so they played everything at once. Turns out the one drop fits real nice under a country lyric.

Our sound leans into roots reggae — slow tempos, deep bass, organ bubble — but the songs come from the dirt road. Heartbreak, harvest, hurricanes, and the holy hush of a Sunday morning by the water.

We've shared stages from Kingston backyards to Nashville honky-tonks, and every show is the same prayer: slow it down, turn it up, and let the bass do the talking.
